The University of Mississippi has put the finishing touches on its new Men’s and Women’s basketball practice facility by installing a Connor hardwood floor. About 22,000 square feet of Focus™ were installed, with 11,000 square feet in each of the men’s and women’s gymnasiums, said Jon Isaacs, Vice President and General Manager of Connor Sports Flooring, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Said Blake Barnes, Senior Associate Athletics Director of Facilities, "Ole Miss has used Connor products and Sports Floors' services for a number of years with success.  We chose the Focus System due to its track record in other major college venues.  The price of the product was comparable to other systems and we have received good service with Sports Floors in the past."

Connor worked with Sports Floors, Inc., Memphis, Tennessee, the contracting company that installed the surfaces. David LeBlanc, Vice President of Sales, coordinated efforts for Sports Floors.

William Mills of Mills and Mills Architects, Greenville, Mississippi, the project’s architects, had high praise for the project partners and the product: “During the design process, we visited many of the newer practice facilities in the Southeastern Conference and found that the majority of them had DIN-Certified Connor floors. After visiting the Design and Performance Center at Sports Floors office in Memphis, we selected the Focus system for its outstanding list of features at an affordable price point.”

“Connor hardwood floors continue to be the choice for their versatility, safety, good looks and environmental sustainability,” said Ron Cerny, President and CEO of Connor Sport Court International, the parent company of Connor headquartered in Salt Lake City.
