Nobody wants to put time and money into something that will not last! To ensure that you get the durable gym floor you want and need from Sports Floors Inc., let us take a look at the floors we offer, and how they are made to last.

Gym flooring: then and now

For many years, most schools, churches, and sports organizations that were renovating or replacing their gymnasium flooring would have two options, wood or a poured urethane surface. Hardwood was the traditional choice for a long time, but as the need for a more multi-use surface increased, synthetic surfaces like poured urethane began to offer a durable, more affordable option. Although permanent hardwood sports floors remain a very popular choice, we are now able to offer multiple synthetic flooring options that are cost-effective and multi-purpose.

Wood floors

As a certified Connor distributor and installer, we find their permanent hardwood sports floors to be the best in the industry. From basketball and volleyball courts to gymnasiums, and everything in between, Connor Sports are engineered with players and facilities in mind to produce a solution that works for you. Their floors are DIN 2001 certified to ensure athlete safety, and they are the only sports flooring manufacturer to STEM test their floors. This protects the floor from buckling and assures the entire system will stand the test of time, no matter how many bleachers roll across it or how many players play on it. Using Connor floors, Sports Floors Inc. are able to deliver a consistent quality that is ISO certified and value engineered. Each floor is custom designed to meet all your budget and sports needs.

When it comes to wood floors, we have several options available.

Anchored

There are two types of anchored wood flooring systems, Fixed Resilient Systems, and Fixed Wood Systems.  Both are resilient and offer notable stability. Fixed Resilient flooring systems combine the stabilizing benefits of anchored subfloors with the resiliency of floating systems. A wide array of fixed resilient floors means we can find the best fit for help fit your activities, level of play, budget, and facility size. Fixed Wood flooring systems are mechanically fastened to the concrete substrate, providing a stable subfloor system. These floors offer outstanding buckle resistance, but minimal resilience.

Floating

Floating systems are able to rest without anchorage to a concrete substrate, and different combinations of pad and subfloor designs allow for varying levels of resiliency. The key benefits of a floating system is its shock absorption and resiliency, but they are not able to provide the stability of a fixed resilient system.

Parquet

This is a highly resilient sports floor system, generally consisting of a vapor barrier, resilient Rezill pads, wood subfloor, stabilizing edge grain maple flooring, sanding, sealers, finishes, game lines, and wall base.

Portable

Connor Sports QuickLock portable basketball floors are quickly becoming the flooring system of choice for arena operators, who are choosing them in record numbers when looking to build new basketball courts. Designed to meet the demands arenas, convention centers, or stadiums, this portable basketball court will provide over 15 years of performance.

For facilities that frequently install and remove sports flooring, the QuickLock system has been engineered to lessen labor costs and cut down on maintenance. Available in traditional and zipper floor configurations, as well as pinned and pin-less systems, QuickLock has been designed and tested by working directly with the NBA, NCAA, and FIBA.
